30 years W:O:A - The worlds greatest Heavy Metal festival celebrates it's anniversary

On the last day of the Wacken Open Air 2018 the promoter announced the first bands for the 2019 edition: Sabaton, Parkway Drive, Demons & Wizards, Powerwolf, Airbourne, Rose Tattoo, Within Temptation, Meshuggah, Krokus, Dark Funeral and Avatar!
A couple of hours later the festival was completely sold-out!

The Wacken Open Air 2019 will be held from August 1-3 but the party will start one day before on Wednesday in the party tent. Here you have the chance to explore the best newcomers from all around the world in the W:O:A Metal Battle. 

Quickly avowed: since years the W:O:A offers young bands across all genres and countries the possibility to take the next step. Every country sends the best local band to the finals at the W:O:A. Voted by a professional jury the best five peformances will receive prices and payments. Also every band can take the chance to build connections with managers and other artists backstage.
